The headquarters of each party are located in taverns. At the Tory headquarters on the right a large sign proclaims: 'Punch Candidate for Guzzlledown' (a satire of the Whigs, which shows bribes pouring from the British treasury). In the far background, a Tory crowd storms Whig headquarters, while a farmer passing through the hamlet is offered bribes by representatives of both camps.
